Privacy policy

Pamoja Pass issues a Fan ID, a tournament visa, match tickets and a stadium gate pass. Doing that means holding identity data, and this explains exactly what we hold and why.

What we collect

Identity. Your name, date of birth, nationality, and your passport or national ID number. This is what a Fan ID is: accreditation checked against a real document.

Your photograph. Used by a steward to match your face to your pass at the turnstile.

Contact. An email address or phone number, to sign you in and to tell you about your tickets.

Tickets and orders. Which seats you bought, for which fixtures, for whom, and what you paid.

Why we hold it

Accreditation and entry: a seat cannot open a turnstile unless it is bound to a verified Fan ID. Border crossing: the tournament visa is issued on the strength of the identity you gave us. Support: answering you about a ticket you hold or bought for somebody else.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

Accreditation and immigration authorities in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, where the tournament visa and stadium entry require it. Stewards at a turnstile see your photograph, your name and whether your pass is valid — nothing else. When a payment provider is connected, it will see what it needs to take the payment and no more.

Where it is held, and for how long

Data is held on servers operated for Pamoja Pass. Identity records are kept for the duration of the tournament and for as long afterwards as accreditation and financial records must be retained; after that they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Some corrections you can make yourself: a mistyped document number can be edited from your pass, which returns it to review. Deleting your identity data ends your accreditation, so any tickets bound to it stop working.

Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania each have their own data protection law, and your rights under whichever applies to you are not reduced by anything written here.
